Dead Ringer Rosies def. Toxic Avengers 132 – 128
It came down to the last jam with the Rosies 10 points down, Skate Bush played hard and fast, and scored 14 points that won them the game and the season! Great teamwork by the Avengers the whole night kept the Rosies at arm’s reach score-wise.
A fantastic game played by all! Thanks to the skaters and their crew, the refs, officials and volunteer army for making the night a well organised and memorable one. We love all our fans who turn up dressed to impress and can’t wait to skate for everyone again! xxoo

I just LOVE going, but the PA sound at Puckhandlers is reeeally bad. Cant they do something about it?

yeah i agree with lil, the PA needs to be fixed. The commentators are pretty funny and its a big shame that you can’t hear them as well as having baaaad sound.
i think the worst thing in regards to the crowd is people standing up in the front,more people can see if we all sat down and have abit of courtesy for the older people in sitting in chairs or wheelchairs!
there’s a new sound system being used for this upcoming bout – hopefully the sound should be a lot better this time

Awesome bout saturday night, best one I’ve been to so far; both teams were awesome – great win by the Reservoir Dolls considering it was only their 3rd bout together as a team; and the skill shown by Kiity Decapitate was incredible – but a true team effort – well done Dollies !!!

Kitty DeCapitate, Foxy Terrier, Denim Destructor and co. were aweome on Saturday night; the best bout I’ve watched since I’ve been attending derby – great win from the underdogs !!

So I have this as a Toxic/Rosies final, is this right? What was the final score for bout 2?
Great game tonight, Rosies had solid defence and the Toxic jammers will killing it in the first half, but seemed to run out of legs in the second, they definitely felt not having Kitty. Hotrod Stacy, Skate Bush, Bust Up Bambi, Splatter Puss, Punani Tsunami, Lola Skate and Mandytory Punishment all had great bouts. This sport has grown so much over the last 18 months that I’ve been watching it, into something that is truly one of the best sporting spectacles in the country. Tonight had so much passion, energy and violence and the quality of the skating was awesome, it’s just a pity about the refereeing (only kid, we love you guys
).
My only gripe with the night is the chaos that is getting in. Given the massive burst in popularity since Whip It it’s totally understandable that there’s going to be some problem accommodating it, and I trust that better systems are being put in place to get the punters in sooner.

24th Oct was first time I got to go see a bout – absolutely loved it, you are all brilliant to watch! What a great organisation you have, and what a fantastic night for everyone you put on. Go Dolls!
And then 14th Nov – how physical! Down and dirty bout, every heart in it. Just fantastic. Thankyou! Can’t wait for the final!

Rosies definitely earnt their spot in the final, great comeback after losing last month against the RD’s.
each of the three teams won a bout and lost a bout after the regular season, the finalists were determined by the teams accumulative scores.
Toxics and Rosies are worthy finallists, but I cant help but be a bit disappointed that the Reservoir Dolls missed out, my GF is a Dolly and I really wanted to see her bout again – also love watch Kitty DeCapitate in action !
Btw Rockstar Philosopher; avoid the crush of entry by either pre-booking tix online or buying them at one of the outlets that sell pre-bout tickets (I get mine on Brunswick street)

Raffle ticket prize is usually a merch pack which is drawn at halftime, right before the second half starts.
With the 09 season now over, (& Xmas nearly here), where can I get me some VRDL merch!?? Can anyone help?
